A driver

Watch out!!  You know the funny thing that people say about staying off the sidewalks when someone gets their permit?  Well, in our house it isn't too funny because the truth hurts.
Sam has his permit and is scared to death.  I should say that the adult in the car is too.
Hopefully, with a little more practice, he will be able to be a full fledged driver in October.
I did say hopefully.

Kites

When we took the sister missionaries to Houston, we planned a trip to the park.  So, we hit Walmart and got kites to take with us.  It wasn't very windy at the park, there were a lot of trees, and the stream was very alluring. So, the kites came home and were brought out in our open field.  Poor Casey's Star Wars kite got tangled by the time the camera was out, but we all had a fun afternoon.

Jumping with Rain

We had Rain over for a day and the girls loved jumping and singing along the way.
Such fun to have a sweet friend for the day.

A little side story:  When Jill found out the 5 girls in this family are Summer, Lake, Sky, Rain, and Sage, she said, "Oh, they all have nature names."  It was said with wonder and awe.
I think Jill was jealous for a few days.  I wonder what she would like to name herself?  Probably flower.

first day of swim

This was Maggie's first day of swim team.  She was four and so nervous.
It really is one of my favorite pictures.
Zach is still a protective older brother.
He just doesn't want anyone to know about it.
