smarshmallows

Anna on the hunt.
For "smarshmallows" among the other stuff.
And, yes, there was a mess.

the end, i guess

I came upon this display posted on the refrigerator.
I guess Zach wanted us all to know how the track meet went.
Thanks for using the animal booties, Zach.  It made me laugh.

track

Track is over.  I got VERY few pictures because I don't tend to last long at the meets.  (In fact, I have none of Mags.)  But, yesterday was conference finals and we (the little girls and I) stayed the whole day.  We even have burns to prove it.   Zach and Mag ran and jumped and we cheered.
I'm sure they both enjoyed a break from the rigorous last few weeks of school. HA!

oh, can we go again

Kat sent me this picture from NYC.  Reminder of how cold it was.  I'm ready to go again.  Please.

basketball and a snake

Saturday, Maggie had a bball tournament in Alton.  Yes, they were the victors.  Not sure how I feel about that.  Never been one to root for playing below the rim.  But,I just might have to deal with the pain because I have a feeling there are many more games to be enjoyed?

That afternoon, we hit the yard with gusto to do some much needed spring cleaning.  I knew something was up when Jill ran to me requesting my phone.  I looked over and saw the kids, plus Ron, all huddled in the front yard.  Never a good sign.  Yep, a snake.  Totally disturbing.

making salad

One day, the sun was shining, but the wind was blowing.
Jill and Anna insisted on going outside to make "salad for the missionaries."
What lucky sister missionaries we have.

NYC - day 5

Yes, it had to come to an end.

A view of a beautiful museum.  The Met.
Ron took forever looking at Egypt stuff.
My favorite had to be Monet and Washington Crossing the Delaware.

After the museum, a quick walk down the east side of the park to find one last waffle.
It again, was divine.
And along the way . . .
A namesake. And one more namesake.

Such a fun trip. In the end, Ron pulled a Papa and we ended up taking a taxi to the airport for fear of being late.  No need to worry.  We had lots of time to power up electronics and cry when the speculoos was confiscated at security.  A big thanks goes out to Kat and Nate and Miranda for sharing their trip with us.  It will forever be one of our favorites.  And, a HUGE thanks goes to Nana who was left in the middle of nowhere with 5 lovely, but crazy children.  There is only one question left, when can we do it again?
