Can you . . .

Can you walk, suck your thumb, and rub your belly button at the same time? Jill has mastered the art. I'm starting to wonder when I need to worry about this. So many people lately have told me their kindergarten thumb sucking horror stories and Jill is getting more dependent, not less, as she gets older. I haven't worried about it yet because of the quiet calm the thumb gives us all. Even with a wad of material to wade through, Jill must find her button. I guess my hope is that, at some point, embarrassment, lack of interest, or, if needs be, hot sauce on the thumb wins out.

p.s. The cute dress is courtesy of a Porter skirt grown too short, reconfigured for Jilly. Thanks, girls!

Don't worry Katie, Conner has the some problem. Finger sucking, belly button rubbing, but what the heck, if they can soothe themselves than why not! At least she doesn't rub her nipples, Conner does this too! And totally cute dress.

As for the thumb, my guess is that you are right--at some point, she will out grow it??
