snufles

I can finally write about this. The anger has subsided and I can be kinda nice now. It all started with the mention of a snufle. Not just a mention, but an alluring, reminiscent, it was the most wonderful thing in the world kind of mention. And, that was all it took. They were hooked. The asking and begging began and there was no going back. A picture was emailed by Jean, fabric and notions were chosen, and the sewing began. It's really too bad there wasn't more joy in the project. I think the anger shows in the quirkiness of the final product. But, here they are, passed onto another generation of Jensen's.

FHE zeppole

We love this recipe for Zeppole and it makes for a fun family home evening treat. Just make the little donuts, then dunk in chocolate. A definite favorite for everyone - if only they were calorie free.

Just some Easter pictures

Maggie adored her dress and loved it more when we found Jill a matchy. Casey wore a tie to church for the first time and the older boys didn't care to have their picture taken.
On Thursday, Casey had a great time hunting for CASEY easter eggs at preschool. I had to stitch up a quick "easter basket" the night before because I forgot about hunting. But, all was well and he generously accepted that his "C" bag would do a great job holding eggs.

Easter 2009

We had a great Easter and I loved all of the videos and clips from conference talks that were posted on other sites. One of my favorites was Elder Holland's talk put with music and images. So, I posted it here. If there was ever a talk that reminded me that Jesus Christ is the Savior and how immense his sacrifice is, this is it.

Can you . . .

Can you walk, suck your thumb, and rub your belly button at the same time? Jill has mastered the art. I'm starting to wonder when I need to worry about this. So many people lately have told me their kindergarten thumb sucking horror stories and Jill is getting more dependent, not less, as she gets older. I haven't worried about it yet because of the quiet calm the thumb gives us all. Even with a wad of material to wade through, Jill must find her button. I guess my hope is that, at some point, embarrassment, lack of interest, or, if needs be, hot sauce on the thumb wins out.
